Conference
I was co-organiser of the LMS Regional Meeting 2006 in combination with a Workshop on Functional Analysis which took place in Leeds, 3.July -- 7.July 2006.

Other Interests
I am a co-organiser of a yearly seminar on Mathematics and Culture in Rome.
  • Mathematics and Theology, 26.2. -- 4.3.2006.
  • Mathematics and Art, 27.2 -- 5.3.2005.
  • The Reality of Mathematics, 22.2 -- 28.2.2004.

  • Short CV
I was born in Nürnberg, Germany on the 22. February 1970. After my Abitur in 1989 and 15 months of civil service I began to study Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Erlangen in 1990. In autumn 1992 I changed to the University of Tübingen where I continued to study Maths but with Philosophy as a second subject. After graduating in 1997 I started to work on a Ph.D. at the University of Augsburg in 1998. In 1999 I changed to the University of Ulm, where I took my Ph.D. in 2003 under the supervision of Wolfgang Arendt. During the academic year 2004/2005 I was a research fellow at the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. Since autumn 2005 I am lecturer in Analysis at the University of Leeds. In December 2006 I completed the German Habilitation at the University of Ulm. Since February 2007 I hold a post as Assistant Professor at the Technical University of Delft.
