The application process

Once you’ve applied to study a mathematics degree course with us, you might (depending on the quality of your application) be invited to one of our ‘post-application visit afternoons’.

Post-application visit afternoons for maths courses

Our post-application visit afternoons give you the chance to learn more about studying maths at Leeds.

You’ll be able to get all the important information you need to help you make your final choice.

What to expect at a visit afternoon

The format of our post-application visit afternoon may vary, but the programme for a typical day might be:

13:15 - Introductory talk by a member of our team
14:00 - Campus tour led by current students
15:00 - Talk by Study Abroad or Work Experience Placement student
15:15 - Talk about accommodation by University of Leeds accommodation team
15:30 - A chance to ask questions
15:40 - Refreshments with our team and current students

There are plenty of opportunities to ask questions of our team during the day. 

We aim to give you all the information you need to make your final decision on where to study.

Can parents come to a post-application visit day?

Parents (or guardians) are very welcome to attend the whole afternoon and see what the city, the University and the School of Mathematics have to offer.
